This year, several critical board positions are available, and if these roles are not filled, Brookline Soccer will unfortunately not be able to continue. We understand that everyone has busy lives, but these positions are vital to managing everything from team formation and scheduling to field coordination and equipment.
These volunteer roles are essential to the smooth operation of Brookline Soccer. Here's a brief overview of the key responsibilities for the open positions:
President: This is our chief executive, overseeing the daily operations of the league. The President presides over meetings and ensures all aspects of BYSA are running smoothly.
Vice President: The Vice President steps in when the President is unavailable and assists with various duties as assigned, playing a crucial supporting role in the league's leadership.
Secretary: The Secretary is responsible for keeping official records, including meeting minutes, ensuring all notices are sent out, and maintaining our important documents.
Treasurer: This role manages all of BYSA's finances, handling incoming funds, making deposits, and ensuring responsible financial practices.
Registrar: The Registrar is in charge of the entire player registration process, recording all necessary information for rostering teams and ensuring everyone is set to play.
Serving on the board is a fantastic way to contribute directly to your child's soccer experience and ensure the league continues for years to come. No prior experience is necessary, just a willingness to help and a passion for youth soccer!
If you're interested in learning more about these roles or have questions, we encourage you to attend our next monthly board meeting. This is a great opportunity to see how the board operates and learn how you can make a difference.
The meeting will be held on Monday, August 25th at 7:00 PM at Moore Park in the pool building.
