Q: Which program is right for my child?
In-House League (Rec): Perfect for all skill levels, especially beginners! This league is 100% local. All practices and games are held at Moore Park, and our teams only play against other teams within our own club. There is no traveling outside the neighborhood.
Travel League: Designed for players looking for a more competitive environment. While we host home games, teams will also travel to other communities around the Pittsburgh area for away games. This league requires a higher commitment for weekend games and weekday practices.
Q: Can my child do both programs?
Yes. Players are welcome to participate in both leagues if they want to maximize their time on the field.
Q: Can I pay registration fees in installments?
Yes! We offer a flexible payment plan that allows you to split your registration fee into 2 monthly installments.
Important Deadline: The installment option is only available until August 3rd. After August 3rd, full payments will be required at registration.
Q: Why does the form ask for a player headshot?
This is for Travel Players ONLY. We require a clear photo upload for travel players to create their official league identification cards. If your child is playing In-House, you can skip this step entirely on the registration form.
Q: Can I volunteer to coach my own child's team?
Yes, absolutely! In fact, we highly encourage it. When you sign up to coach, you will automatically be paired with your child’s team so you can share the season together.
Q: Do I need prior soccer coaching experience?
Not at all! We welcome coaches of all experience levels. Our association provides all the training, curriculum, and hands-on support you need to feel confident on the field. You bring the enthusiasm, and we will handle the rest!
Q: Do I have to choose a preset practice schedule if I coach?
Nope! Another major benefit of volunteering is flexibility. As the coach, you choose the weekly practice times that fit your specific availability, making it easy to balance with work and family life.
Q: What equipment do I need to buy if I volunteer to coach?
Nothing! We provide everything you need to run your practices and games—including soccer balls, cones, pinnies, and first aid kits.
Q: Do I need an official business to sponsor a team or the league?
Not at all! Sponsorships are open to any club, group, or organization—like a local chess club, crochet group, or neighborhood association. It is a fantastic way to show community pride and support youth sports!
Q: What does our organization get out of a sponsorship?
Great Local Visibility! Your group will be featured across our highly active social media pages, getting your name directly in front of hundreds of local families.
Q: Are sponsorships tax-deductible?
Yes! Because we are a community-focused organization, your donation is fully tax-deductible. We will provide you with all the necessary documentation for your records.
